Wine for “Blonde Moments”
Do blondes really have more fun? It’s tough question that to this day we have not been able to indisputably answer. And, boy, have we tried. Well-known newspaper journals from around the world and numerous high profile science publications have seriously looked into this question numerous times and have us believe again and again that they had finally found the answer... BUT, the bad news is, we don’t know.
We even have proof that none other than Charles Darwin himself has seriously looked into this.
Just a decade after establishing the Theory of Evolution he moved on to researching this highly significant question with the help of his son George. You can read more about it in this Telegraph article. Let’s just say that they came to no real conclusion. Charles’ excuse on the inconclusive data: women’s hair darkens with age, so it is hard to tell if they were blonde at one time or another… and that from the guy who came up with the Theory of Evolution… really!? I am sure George loved his summer job!
Dr. Marc Bradshaw, our winemaster at Pillitteri Estates, who is a self-proclaimed “Bottle Blonde”, has now also tried to address this issue and mastered to bottle the fun that everyone seems to be so interested in. This fresh white assemblage of Semillon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling boasts bold fruit characteristics such as peach, nectarine some apple and grapefruit. At the same time it will intrigue your senses with light almond, cedar and soft lavender notes. The party on your taste buds starts with flavours of pear, pineapple, citrus fruit and lychee only to lead into some sophisticated nutmeg and cinnamon spice. I recommend that you consider inviting this stunning “Bottle Blonde” to your next party and make sure that seafood, grilled poultry and some nice cheeses as well as an ice bucket are handy to keep the party going all night long!
Follow the instructions above and I am sure you will soon find out for yourself who has more fun in life!
Cheers,
Marcel “Dark Blonde” Morgenstern
