A History of Excellence

Over the past 20 years, Pillitteri Estates Winery has been honoured with more than 700 wine awards, at both domestic and international competitions. These include the coveted Civart Trophy from the Challenge International du Vin, for our 2007 Riesling Icewine, two Grand Medaillo d’Oro from Vinitaly, Verona, Italy and a rare Double Gold Medal from the American Wine Society in the United States. Pillitteri achieved international acclaim in 2005 by winning North America’s only wine award at Effervescents du Monde and then going on to win their highest honour in 2009 with a rare Grand Gold, and 1st Place Overall for our 2008 Sparkling Cabernet Icewine. Pillitteri is proud of our role in making Niagara wines and Niagara Icewine recognized world-wide. From Gary’s first gold medal to winning 2 Grand Golds at Vinitaly 2006, the winery is extremely proud of every accolade received and continues to strive for excellence.
